Japan, U.S., S. Korea Foreign Ministers May Meet in Late Sept.

Beijing, Sept. 3 (Jiji Press)--Japan, the United States and South Korea are considering a meeting of their foreign ministers at the U.N. General Assembly late this month, South Korean government officials said Thursday. The ministers are expected to reaffirm their cooperative ties, following South Korean President Park Geun-hye's visit to China this time and Wednesday's agreement between Park and Chinese President Xi Jinping to hold a three-way summit including Japan in late October or early November. The United States and its two allies have not held a meeting of their foreign ministers since August last year. A meeting among the top Japanese, U.S. and South Korean negotiators in the six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear issues is also being arranged to be held soon, according to the officials. END
