Japanese FM Optimistic On Agreement In N-talks

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA – Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida evaluated Iran-group 5+1 nuclear talks as significant, hoping that an agreement would be reached soon. In a meeting with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who has come back home several hours ago from nuclear talks in Geneva, the Japanese foreign minister said that he respects Zarif’s endeavors and diligence in the negotiations. Kishida said that he has heard no agreement has yet been reached, hoping that the talks would produce outcome soon. Meanwhile, Kishida stressed the need to boost Tehran-Tokyo ties. Zarif, for his part, welcomed his Japanese counterpart and said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to develop bilateral ties with Japan./end
