Japanese Foreign Minister hopes to discuss Japanese-Russian ties on April 15

TOKYO, April 12. /TASS/. Japan's Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida plans to discuss the whole range of Japanese-Russian relations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov when the latter man visits Japan on April 15. He said it on Tuesday at a news conference in Tokyo. "We hope to discuss the entire spectrum of relations with a hope for a future dialogue between the two countries' leaders," Kishida said. Russian Foreign Ministry's official spokesperson Maria Zakharova said on April 6 Lavrov would discuss preparations for top-level contacts at the talks in Japan. "A full-scale discussion of bilateral and international problems during the visit has been scheduled," she said. "Preparations for summit talks, an arrangement for which was made by the Russian and Japanese leaders previously," Zakharova said. The Japanese government confirmed earlier Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was considering an unofficial visit to Russia. Read more
