Japanese Reactionaries Hit for Suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan

Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, the Japanese police searched the house and office of the vice managing director and concurrently international director of the Korean Football Association in Japan on the charges of dealings which violated UN sanctions resolution against the DPRK and Japan's "law on foreign exchange". The police gangsters seized his hand phone, computer and documents in brigandish search from early morning to early morning of the next day. Rodong Sinmun Monday in a commentary says this is a dreary scene which can be seen only under the Japanese-style "law-governed" system full of the extreme hostility and vicious prejudice against the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Koreans in Japan. It goes on: The reckless move reveal the wickedness and despicableness peculiar to Japan to justify the criminal act of stamping out Chongryon by massively building the anti-Chongryon atmosphere in the society and its national chauvinistic dirty political climate. It is a sinister intention of the Japanese reactionaries to cut down the bloody link between the motherland and officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan by suppressing and persecuting them on groundless charges. Their suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan can never be pardoned as it is a vicious political provocation to the DPRK and a wanton infringement on human rights and humanitarianism. It is the consistent stand and unshakable will of the DPRK to regard any persecution and suppression of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan as a grave infringement upon the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK and take resolute counteraction, stresses the commentary. -0-
