Japanese Reactionaries' Moves to Disband Chongryon Assailed

Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries are getting ever more frantic with the moves against the DPRK and Chongryon (General Association of Korean Residents in Japan), malignantly pulling up the DPRK over its measures for bolstering up the nuclear force for self-defence to protect its sovereignty and vital rights and guarantee peace and security on the Korean peninsula. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in a commentary in this regard: What merits a serious attention is that the Japanese reactionaries torment Chongryon, a dignified overseas compatriots' organization of the DPRK, and Koreans in Japan and even threaten their rights to existence. The reckless acts of the Japanese political gangsters against Chyongryon are going beyond the tolerance limit. The confrontation with the DPRK pursued by the Japanese reactionaries, pursuant to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK, proved totally bankrupt while it has emerged a nuclear power in the East. Much upset by this, they are set to take revenge upon it by escalating state-sponsored terrorism against Chongryon even by discarding the veil of "law-governing" and "human rights." This is nothing but a mean behavior of the narrow-minded Japanese politicians. However, the Japanese reactionaries should bear in mind that it is a serious mistake and daydream to bring down Chongryon which is under the protection of Juche Korea reliably defending its dignity and sovereignty and fully demonstrating its might under the unfurled great banner of Songun. -0-
