Jazayeri: 8-day Gaza War Marks Another Defeat For Zionist Regime

Tehran, Nov 27, IRNA -- Deputy Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said on Monday that the eight-day Gaza war resulted in collapse of the Iron Dome of the Zionist regime. Speaking to a group of his personnel, Jazayeri said the Zionist regime suffered another defeat in the face of missiles launched by the Islamic resistance movement. He said the myth the costly Iron Dome system was shattered and the security of the Jewish settlements in the occupied lands seriously threatened. He noted that the Zionist rulers will be unable to refresh the sense of security among their settlers for a long time as a result of the events. The Iranian army official said the eight-day war of Gaza reversed balance of power in favor of the Islamic resistance movement. On November 14, the Israeli regime launched a deadly offensive against the blockaded Gaza Strip, killing more than 160 Palestinians and injuring 1,200 others. In retaliation, Palestinian resistance fighters fired rockets and missiles into Israeli cities, killing at least five Israelis. On Wednesday, Egypt announced that the Israeli regime and the Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas had reached a ceasefire agreement. Under the deal, the Palestinians and Israelis agreed to end all hostilities. But the Israeli regime did not agree to lift the blockade of the Gaza Strip./end
