J.Bayartsetseg meets with Executive Director of UNODC

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice J.Bayartsetseg met with Mr Yuri V. Fedotov, the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). At the UN General Assembly's high-level meeting on improving the coordination of efforts against trafficking in persons in New York city, Ms Bayartsetseg introduced to him measures taken by Mongolia's government for combating a corruption and organized crimes and the court reforms. She expressed a willingness to cooperate with the UNODC in these issues, and asked him to give technical assistance and send experts. In response, Mr Fedotov thanked the Mongolian government for attending the UNGA high-level meeting, and backed the proposals and initiatives of the Mongolian side. He congratulated our government on gaining achievements in combating the corruption and the organized crimes, and promised to support Mongolia in strengthening the investigative service and in improving the staffers' skills.
