JCPOA Supervisory Committee member says ISA violates nuclear deal

Tehran, Dec 6, IRNA – Iran Sanctions Act violates the nuclear deal reached between Iran and G5+1, a member of the Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Actions(JCPOA) Supervisory Committee said on Tuesday. Head of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati told reporters on the sidelines of a press conference on the upcoming Tehran Security Conference. Members of the JCPOA Supervisory Committee have consensus that if the US president signs the Iran Sanctions Act, the JCPOA will be violated, he noted. The JCPOA Supervisory Committee will decide on the type of Iran's response but Iran will give clear, strong and due response to violation of nuclear deal, Velayati noted. He referred to the upcoming security conference in Tehran on December 11 and said the latest developments in the West Asia will be discussed in the conference. Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani will deliver the opening lecture of Tehran's Security Conference next Sunday, Velayati said. He added that high level foreign experts are present in the conference. Regional states should cooperate to guarantee the region's security and withstand US and Zionist regime excessive demands, the official noted. 1378/IRNA
