JCPOA a win-win deal to benefit all

TEHRAN, May 03 (MNA) – Culture, book and publication, the JCPOA, and the new features of the 29th edition of TIBF were the issues covered in President Rouhani’s opening address of the 2016 edition of the fair. “I am delighted to be among the penmen, thinkers, the shrewd and the publishers, at the important annual event, which in this year becomes 29 years old, the Tehran International Book Fair,” said President Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Tuesday, in the address he delivered to mark the opening of 2016 edition of the fair in the new venue of Shahr-e-Aftab (Sun city) complex in the southern outskirt of Tehran. President Rouhani then voiced gratitude toward a list of people including the representative of foreign countries’ governments, especially the Russian President Putin for sending a special envoy, Iranian MPs, some scholars, members of Tehran’s city council, and the mayor of Tehran for attending and contributing to the event. Rouhani voiced content with the new venue of the TIBF after 2 times changes of the location in recent years, and thanked Tehran’s mayor and all the people involved for preparing and constructing the new complex. “Iran has entered a new stage and chapter of history, and the world of today is totally different from the world before the JCPOA (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action),” said Rouhani after wishing more bliss for his country. The Iranian president underlined that ‘after the deal was clinched almost a year ago, [in July 14, 2015], there has been a good deal of traffic of foreign officials visiting Tehran, and part of talks is always about the agreement, and it discloses a new aspect of the JCPOA to me.’ He described the Iran-Sextet agreement of July 14, a win-win deal which has benefits for both sides of the contract. The head of Iran’s executive branch, also stressed that culture and etiquette are the top priorities of Iran, and hailed the importance of books as the main tool of guidance and education.
