Joint Action Plan To Lead To Expansion Of Iran-Ireland Ties: Diplomat

London, Jan 20, IRNA – Iranˈs ambassador to Dublin said implementation of the Geneva deal as of today (Monday) will prepare the ground for growing ties between Iran and Ireland. Exclusively talking to IRNA, Hossein Panahi Azar said Tehran and Dublin has always had cordial relations far from any tensions. Ireland, as a member of the European Union establishes its relations with foreign states including Iran under the Union resolutions and regulations. The joint plan of action based on which the foreign ministers of Iran and the group of sextet reached agreement on November 24 is due to be implemented as of January 20. According to the time set for implementation of the joint plan of action, different EU members have recently expressed readiness for fostering ties with Iran. A high-ranking delegation from Ireland led by Pat Breen, Foreign Affairs and Trade Committee Chairman, visited Iran last week. The diplomat said Ireland is the EU member that has always stressed diplomatic solution to the dispute over Iranˈs peaceful nuclear program./end
