Jumblat: Fight Against Terrorism Without Iran Is Meaningless

Beirut, Sept 9, IRNA – President of the Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party said that the US President Barak Obama intends to declare a program to confront with terrorist group of ISIS, but any efforts in this concern without presence of Iran would be meaningless. According to the report of al-Anba' Newspaper website on Monday afternoon, Walid Jumblat said he doubted that President Obama program to fight against terrorism can take practical steps in this concern. Leader of Democratic Fraction in the Lebanese parliament said that the Araba are facing with a wave of violence, crime and massacre simultaneously with political developments, while radical and Takfiri groups are growing. He underlined that old Arab system is gradually crumbling, and there is no alternativet to depart from the problems which threaten Arab national security. Jumblat stressed that the Arab world is now surrounded by dangers such as Syrian crisis, Iraq, Libya and Yemen crisis and on top of them the phenomenon of Takfiri terrorists of the ISIS. The Lebanese Druze leader added that the Arab world with cooperation and assistances of Iran and Turkey, who are two big powers of the region, can confront with terrorism and strengthen its national borders and political system. President of the Lebanese Druze Progressive Socialist Party underlined that following developments in the region, it is necessary that Iran and Saudi Arabia start to negotiate.
