Kazakhstan considers Russia strategic partner in politics, economy, security - Foreign Ministry

ASTANA, December 26. /TASS/. Russia is Kazakhstan’s ally and strategic partner in politics, economy and security, Kazakhstani Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov said on Friday. “This year confirms stable relations with Russia,” he said. This year Kazakhstan and Russia ratified the Treaty on Good-Neighbourliness and Allied Relations in 21st Century. The treaty has entered into force this year, Idrisov said. Russia “is a very important market for us and an important transit space that allows us to enter international markets”, he said. “Of course, the context of our relations fills with a new phenomenon - the Eurasian Economic Union. The Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union was signed in Astana in May,” Idrisov said. Read more
