Kim Il Sung Remembered Abroad

Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- Remembrance meetings were held in Syria, Denmark and Uganda and a lecture in Hungary on June 26 and 27 on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. Present at the events were personages of various strata and masses of the relevant countries. The director of the Department of Workers and Farmers of the Syria's Baath Arab Socialist Party who is a member of its Regional Leadership said that HE Kim Il Sung in his lifetime supported with sincerity the peoples of many countries in their struggle for national liberation, adding: He is a close friend of the Syrian people as he laid a firm foundation for friendly relations between Syria and the DPRK. His august name will be always cherished in the hearts of the Syrian people. The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association said President Kim Il Sung was an outstanding political activist and the great leader of the Korean people. Some personages of Uganda praised the President for performing undying exploits before the times and history. The chairperson of the Hungarian Workers' Party praised the President as an invincible and iron-willed commander and a genius of creation and construction. A message to the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event in Denmark. -0-
