Kim Il Sung Remembered by Foreign Figures

Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung. They included remembrance meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows in Norway, Finland, Sweden and Bangladesh from July 4 to 7. Participants in the film shows watched Korean films such as "Song of the Sun Will Last Forever". There were speeches at the events attended by personages of various circles and masses in relevant countries. The chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway said that Kim Il Sung was a great revolutionary and brilliant thinker and theoretician who embarked upon the road of revolution in his early years and founded the immortal Juche idea. The chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea stressed that the DPRK could demonstrate only victories while foiling all sorts of challenges thanks to the wise guidance of President Kim Il Sung. The chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association said that Kim Il Sung performed great exploits on behalf of the times and history by conducting energetic activities to realize the desire of the popular masses to live an equal life in a society free from exploitation and oppression. Personages of Bangladesh noted that he ushered in the era of independence, a new era of history, in which the popular masses carve out their destiny by their own efforts. Adopted at the events in Norway and Finland were a message and letter to the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. -0-
