Kremlin says Putin discussed Syria at talks with King of Jordan

MOSCOW, August 31. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Syria at talks last week with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. "At the above mentioned meetings, indeed, a rather detailed exchange of views on the Syrian affairs took place," Peskov said. The Kremlin spokesman declined to give further details. "This is the only thing I can say," he said, adding: "I cannot provide you with any more information." On August 25, King Abdallah II arrived in Moscow at an invitation of Putin on a working visit, which was his 14th trip to Russia since 2001. Last Tuesday, Putin also met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi on the sidelines of MAKS 2015 air show outside Moscow. Read more
