MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. Russia still seeks working as part of a single anti-terrorist coalition and regrets that other countries are not yet ready for this, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday. "Russia calls for creating such (a single broad anti-terrorist) coalition as you know," Peskov said. "At the moment, unfortunately, our partners are not ready for the work in the format of single coalition," he said. "Despite this, we keep our doors open and preserve our readiness and wish to cooperate in any formats for which our partners will be ready," the presidential spokesman stressed. Peskov confirmed the Russian stance on the participation of Syria’s army in the fight against terrorism together with the international coalition. "From the very beginning of this story, the Russian side has stressed that Syria’s armed forces are the only real force that can counter terrorist organizations that have occupied a significant part of Syria’s territory," he reminded. Any operation of the Air Force cannot reach success "without the ground components," he said. "The Syrian army is the only such realistic component on the ground." Read more
