Kyongsong Hot-Spring Therapy

Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- Kyongsong hot-spring therapy is one of national intangible heritages which show the superiority of Koryo medicine that has been created and developed by the Korean nation. Kyongsong hot-spring is a radon spa believed to be discovered nearly 500 years ago and its main ingredients are metasilicate and various mineral matters. It is known efficacious for spondylopathy, arthritis, injury or aftereffect of operation, gynecopathy and nervous system diseases and other chronic diseases. It has special remedial effects for being highest in radon content among radon spas across the country. Hot water wells up from the depth of 60 meters and its temperature stands at 62-64 degrees Centigrade.
