Kyrgyz ambassador to Italy presents credentials to executive director of UN WFP

Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2021 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Italy Taalai Bazarbaev presented his credentials to Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) David Beasley, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister reported. During a bilateral meeting held after the presentation of credentials at the WFP headquarters in Rome, the sides agreed to continue cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the UN World Food Program in a spirit of constructive dialogue. Ambassador Bazarbaev expressed gratitude to the UN WFP for the assistance provided on food security of the Kyrgyz Republic, namely for the humanitarian aid allocated in 2020, which was sent to support more than 100 thousand people who received food aid. In response, Beasley said that the UN WFP is ready to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan on an ongoing basis and continue cooperation in the framework of various projects implemented in Kyrgyzstan to support food security in the country.
