Landmine from wartime kills 6 in western Iran

TEHRAN,Nov.5(MNA) – An explosion from a landmine left from the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war has killed six mine-clearers in western Iran. The explosion occurred on Saturday during a mine-clearing operation near the town of Marivan, Kurdistan Province. Landmines left from Iran-Iraq war have claimed the lives of dozens of mine-clearers and left hundreds injured.
