Larijani deplores conflicts in region as Israeli plot

Tehran, Dec 5, IRNA – Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani on Monday deplored the conflicts emanated from wrong policies of countries of the region and the Israeli plots. He made the remarks in a meeting with Chairman of Indonesia People's Consultative Assembly Zulkifli Hasan. 'Stirring conflicts in the region is a plot of the Zionist regime to weaken power of the Islamic states.' Larijani said that unfortunately taking incorrect policies and military invasion and attack on defenseless people of Yemen have intensified the crisis and the Zionist regime took advantage of it. Larijani underlined necessity to use existing capacities of the two Muslim states and bolster mutual ties. He expressed sorrow for continuation of regional crises and said that foreign military intervention and acts of the terrorist groups are two faces of the same coin. He said that political dialogues are the sole solution to end existing crises from Myanmar to the west of Asia. Larijani said Iran's strategy to settle existing crises in the region is holding talks and negotiation and that Majlis and government support every initiative for holding political talks aiming to resolve problems of the region, especially in Syria and Yemen. He said that the issue of Palestine and Holy Quds are among main priorities of the Islamic world, which has been ignored for a while. Larijani appreciated negative vote of Indonesian government for human rights resolution against Iran, saying that exchange of delegations and constant consultations between senior political and parliamentary officials would help consolidate and strengthen mutual ties. Zulkifli Hasan said that Iran is an important and effective country in the world and region and Iran undertake effective part to advance peace in the region. He added that Indonesian parliament and government support every move to develop and expand political, economic and cultural ties, especially bilateral parliamentary relations. Zulkifli Hasan stressed that the Zionist regime and Muslim enemies in the world are following the idea to demolish Islamic civilization and works, so the Muslim nations should be aware. He underlined removal of banking obstacles between financial and trade institutions to facilitate business, trade and joint venture projects. 1378/IRNA
