Larijani Highlights Impacts Of Public Support To Govt On Resolving Countryˈs Issues

Tehran, Feb 16, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Saturday that the mass presence of people in this year’s anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution created a significant opportunity to resolve country’s issues. He told a press conference in presence of domestic and foreign reporters that mass presence of people had a very significant message for inside and outside the country. This presence led to more national solidarity and make them powerful to resolve the country’s problems, he said. The Islamic Republic of Iran is the founder of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC member states which plays a very significant role among Islamic states, he said. He lauded the active presence of representatives of the Islamic countries who attended the confab. He expressed the hope that the conference would address existing challenges in the world Muslims. The issue of Palestine, extremism in Islamic states, existing challenges to achieve democracy in the Muslim countries make up for the agenda in the conference, Larijani said. The conference aims to examine the capabilities of the member states for attaining progress and economic development as well as scientific breakthroughs, he said./end
