Larijani: Iranian Govt., Nation To Continue Supporting Syria

Tehran, Feb 18, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said in Tehran on Monday that the Iranian government and nation will continue supporting Syria. Larijani further told Speaker of Syrian Peopleˈs Assembly, Mohammad Jihad al-Laham that steadfastness of the Syrian government and nation against crisis, created by world powers and their allies, is praiseworthy. ˈThe prospect of Syrian developments is bright thanks to the resistance and wise guidelines of the Syrian government and nation.ˈ He hoped that the 9th meeting of Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will help bolster unity and solidarity among Muslim states. The Syrian speaker, in turn, thanked Iran for helping consolidate solidarity among Muslim states and settle their problems. He also thanked Iran for supporting the Syrian people in the ongoing crisis./end
