Larijani: Islamic Awakening, A Trend Of Self-Confidence In Muslims

Tehran, Feb 4, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that the current Islamic Awakening is a movement of self-confidence among Muslim nations. Addressing the opening of a gathering on “Islamic Awakening in cinema” here on Saturday morning, Larijani said ignoring Islamic nature and identity of revolutions in the Middle East was just an attempt to ignore realities. The most outstanding developments which took place in the region last year were the Islamic revolutions, Larijani added. He believed these revolutions rocked the region like strong earthquakes leading to overthrowing of dictators. The speaker further noted that western countries were trying to just focus on freedom-seeking spirit of the regional revolutions and ignore their Islamic nature./end
