Larijani says oil price fall in line with nuclear dispute

Tehran, Dec 16, IRNA – Head of Human Rights Commission at Iran's Judiciary Mohammad Javad Larijani said on Monday that he sees the oil price fall as a plot masterminded in the context of nuclear dispute with Iran. Speaking to reporters, on the sidelines of the international conference on impacts of financial and economic sanctions on human rights, he said the country's officials fully back the Iranian government and its stands in nuclear talks. He said that he believes that the current oil price fall is a political ploy and not required by the market fundamentals and it must be interpreted in the context of the nuclear dispute with Iran. He said that the ill-wishers with the ambition to get more concessions from Iran have masterminded the oil price fall. Observers say that the OPEC member states did not opt for reducing oil output in response to the price falls in line with a strategy to make the United States project to produce oil from Shale non-economical. Larijani said that the western governments have perpetrated gross violation of human rights by the arbitrary sanctions under the excuse of nuclear dispute./end
