Larijani: Tunisian Nation Forerunner Of Islamic Awakening

Tehran, July 11, IRNA – Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani announced here Wednesday that Tunisian nation is forerunner of Islamic Awakening in Mideast and North Africa. Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with Head of the Islamic Al-Nahda Fraction in the Tunisian National Constituent Assembly Mohammed Sobhi al-Atiq. He voiced the Islamic Republic of Iran's willingness to foster parliamentary ties with the Tunisian National Constituent Assembly. Sobhi al-Atiq, for his part, stressed that the Islamic Awakening has been inspired by the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran./end
