Larijani Urges UN To Send Peacekeeping Force To Myanmar

Tehran, July 22, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani here on Sunday urged the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to send peace force to Myanmar to avoid further masacre of Muslims there. Addressing a Majlis open session, Larijani criticized inaction of the US, UK, France and Germany regarding the recent terrorist attacks in Syria during which a number of senior officials of the country were killed. Instead of condemning the terrorist operations, certain western countries reiterated that the Syrian government should be changed, he noted. The bullying powers back the terrorist operations in order to serve their own interests, added the Majlis speaker./end
