Lawmaker Denies Canadian FM’s Claims

Tehran, Oct 24, IRNA - Member of the Majlis Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy Kazem Jalali on Tuesday denied the Canadian foreign minister’s claims about Iran’s nuclear activities. Accompanying a delegation to Quebec, Canada, to participate the 27th Inter-Parliamentary Union general assembly, he said Iran sticks to its commitment on Non-proliferation Treaty but will not give up its right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird has once again repeated his country’s claim on non-peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program describing it as a threat to world peace and security./end
