Lawyer, Sons Killed In Karachi

Islamabad, May 29, IRNA – An advocate of the provincial high court and two of his children were killed on Tuesday when gunmen opened fire on his car in port city of Karachi, local media reported. The lawyer identified as Kosar Saqlain was attacked by unknown gunmen while he was on his way to drop the two children to school at Maripur road. The sons died on the spot, while Saqlain sustained severe injuries and was shifted to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds. SP Lyari Najam Tareen said this was an incident of sectarian killing. Meanwhile, lawyers in Karachi boycotted legal proceedings in protest against the killing. On the other hand, a body of a person who could not be identified has been recovered from Mari Pur road. Moreover, a body of woman also has been found at ICI Bridge./end
