Lawyers Meeting Supports Korean People's Cause

Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- The participants in the 6th meeting of lawyers in Asia-Pacific region supported the just cause of the Korean people. The meeting was held in Katmandu from June 17 to 19. The executive secretary of the World Peace Council in a speech extended solidarity to the Korean people who are struggling for the country's reunification against the aggression by the U.S. and its allies. A vice-director of the Supreme Public Prosecutors Office of Bangladesh said the world peace-loving people should support the Korean people who single-handedly struggle against the U.S. imperialists. The secretary general of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers said the Korean nation has suffered from its division for over seven decades, adding Korea's reunification should be achieved by the Korean nation itself. The Katmandu declaration adopted at the meeting expressed support and solidarity with the cause of the Korean people for national reunification, supporting the peaceful reunification of Korea by the concerted efforts of the nation. -0-
