L.Bold receives UNFPA Permanent Representative

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Foreign Minister L.Bold received Tuesday Ms Argentina Matavel Piccin, the Permanent Representative of the UNFPA to Mongolia in conjunction with her completion of mission here. Beginning the meeting, the Minister expressed thanks to Ms Piccin for her successful and fruitful three-year works in Mongolia, and highlighted her significant contributions to providing the UNFPA action programmes with management, supporting youths’ development, focusing attention to the vulnerable group in a scope of the matter on reducing mortalities of mothers and infants, improving capability of the UNFPA Permanent Representative Office in Mongolia. Mr Bold underlined that the implementation of the #4 and #5 goals of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) have gained achievements during works of Ms Piccin. In addition, the UNFPA rendered technical and financial assistance to Mongolia for carrying out the census of apartments and population in 2010 under her office, Mr Bold added. The Minister wished success to Ms Piccin for the next work by an appointment in Bangladesh, and then granted to her a gift Golden Gerege.
