Lebanese Ex-Min: Resumption Of Iran-Egypt Ties, A Dire Necessity

Beirut, July 30, IRNA -- Lebanese ex-Defense Minister Abd ar-Rahim Murad said on Sunday that resumption of Iran-Egypt ties is a dire necessity more than before. Pointing to the formation of the new Egyptian government, he strongly criticized policies of some Arab heads of states against Iran. “Iran and Egypt need more than ever to resume ties to confront the Zionists regime and US plots to divide them.” Referring to a variety of conspiracies against Iran, Murad said that the Islamic Republic of Iran since the victory of its revolution up to now has always been the target of different kinds of conspiracies. “The Zionist regime and the US are behind all mischief against the regional nations and conspiracies against them, because they are afraid of unity among Muslim nations and governments and consider it against their will and interests,“ he said. Meanwhile, the Lebanese Unity party leader called for dialogues of Arab leaders with Iran to come to terms with Iran and a common understanding for the sake all regional nations interests. Murad called Egyptian authorities to be watchful to Zionists new plots in the region which currently focuses on shifting limelight from Zionist enemy to Iran as regional countries enemy. He deplored policy of that certain regional and Muslim governments to approach Zionist regime namely Saudi Arabia instead of extending hands of unity toward Iran as Muslim and brotherly nation./end
