Lebanese Figure Praises Iranˈs Presidential Election

Beirut, July 2, IRNA –The Secretary General of Lebanese Arab-Islamic Assembly, Yahya Ghaddar, on Monday said the June 14 presidential election, which resulted in victory of Dr. Hassan Rohani, marked biggest democratic epic in the present world. Speaking to Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabani, Ghaddar said the Iranian people through their massive presence and free choice showed democracy in the true sense of the word to other nations of the world. He switched to demonstrations in Egypt against President Mohamed Morsi, saying Egyptˈs history has never witnessed such a huge public demonstration. Roknabadi, for his part, said, regional nations are anti-Zionism in nature and if conditions are ripe they want governments to come to power that support resistance against the Zionist regime./end
