Lebanese MP: Iranians Participation In Elections Proves Their Sense Of Responsibility

Beirut, June 19, IRNA – A Lebanese parliamentarian said the high turnout of Iranians in the recent presidential elections indicated their sense of responsibility and sensitivity towards national issues. Walid Sukkarieh told IRNA that in the process of the recent elections both the nation and the leadership of Iran proved once again that the country is a symbol of freedom of expression, dignity and true democracy. He said the elections just proved that the ruling system in Iran is relying and based on votes of people. Referring to the high voter turnout in the Iranian elections, he said the new president-elect too will stand against the enemies of the country with full vigilance./end
