Legal status of Caspian Sea to be discussed in Astana

Baku, May 21, AZERTAC Working Group of the Caspian littoral states on the preparation of the Convention on the legal status of the sea will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan, May 21-24, 2018, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said. To this end, a delegation led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov is visiting Astana. During the meeting, along with the Convention’s draft, the participants are said to discuss other documents related to the Fifth Summit of the Heads of the Caspian littoral states. As part of the visit, it is also planned to hold bilateral political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
