Libyan pm: democratic structure of Turkey and Libya to be a model for Islamic countries

TRIPOLI (A.A) – March 6, 2012 – Libyan Prime Minister Abd al-Rahim al-Keeb has said that democratic and Islamic structures of Turkey and Libya would be a model for other Islamic countries. Al-Keeb told AA on Tuesday that he paid his first abroad visit to Turkey which showed the value they gave to Turkey. Noting that Turkey supported Libyan people during the civil war, Al-Keeb said that Turkey and Libya would have stronger relations in the future. Al-Keeb said that he had brotherly relations with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which was more than a diplomatic tie. Noting that Turkey and Libya would have tight relations in economic aspect too, Al-Keeb said that Libya would be Turkey's door to Africa, and Turkey would be Libya's door to Asia and Europe. Al-Keeb said that Erdogan's and his team's policies constituted a model for regional countries.
