Long-term solution to Syrian problem can be found only through political talks - Putin

TEHERAN, November 23. /TASS/. Syria’s problems can be solved in the long-term perspective only through political talks, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday. "There is no other way to find a long-term solution to the Syrian problem than by means of political negotiations," Putin said after talks with his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani. Putin noted that Russia’s anti-terrorist operation in Syria "is bringing about a positive result." "We [with the Iranian partners] assess it in positive terms," he said.
