Love For Household Of Holy Prophet Of Islam Links Iran-Azerbaijan : Envoy

Baku, Nov 4, IRNA – Iran's ambassador to Azerbaijan Republic Mohsen Pakaeen has said the love for Ahl al-Bayt (Household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was the connecting ring between the two nations of Iran and Azerbaijan. Speaking in a ceremony on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadeer in Baku Friday afternoon, the ambassador referred to commonalities between Iranian and Azeri Muslims including their love for the Ahl al-Bayt of the holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH). Eid al-Ghadeer is a festive day observed by Shia Muslims on the 18th of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Islamic calendar to commemorate the appointment of Ali ibn Abi Talib by Prophet Mohammad as his immediate successor. Pakaeen said that joint religious beliefs of the Iranian and Azeri nations have strengthened their bilateral relations./end
