Loving Care Shown for War Veterans

Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- A sanatorium for veterans of the Fatherland Liberation War is now under construction at the foot of scenic Mt. Ryongak in Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The sanatorium will be equipped with wading pool, barbershop, bathroom, massage room, fitness and amusement rooms, infirmary and others. Such sanatoriums are to be built in each province of the country, thanks to a measure taken by the Workers' Party of Korea which cares so much for war veterans. Leader Kim Jong Il in his lifetime said that to respect the war veterans is a tradition of the Korean revolution that emerged victorious with arms, as well as noble mental and moral traits of our society. Under his deep care, a national conference of war veterans was convened and war heroes could work as lecturers at the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum. And military parades would take place with participation of war veterans on holidays. Also, it became a trend of society in the country to treat war veterans with hospitality and take warm care of their life. Supreme leader Kim Jong Un has shown loving care for the war veterans, saying that all of them are heroes and revolutionary forerunners. He made sure that July 27 was celebrated significantly as the day of war victory every year. And he enjoyed an art performance together with the war veterans participating in a national conference and had a photo session with them. Under his guidance, the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum and Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery were built as edifices to inherit the heroic fighting spirit displayed by the KPA soldiers during the war. -0-
