Lubna chairs meeting of U.A.E. Committee for the Coordination of Foreign Humanitarian Aid

DUBAI (WAM): Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development (MICAD), Head of the U.A.E. Committee for the Coordination of Foreign Humanitarian Aid, has extended thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership represented by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the support of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces and relentless follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, on the establishment of the 'U.A.E. Committee for the Coordination of Foreign Humanitarian Aid'. The Committee aims to promote the country's humanitarian contributions for the victims of humanitarian catastrophes and crises as well as bolstering the U.A.E.'s stature on the international humanitarian work arena. Sheikha Lubna expressed these views while chairing the committee's meeting, which was established last May after the formal approval from the cabinet. The Committee discussed a number of issues relevant to the U.A.E.'s humanitarian response, mechanisms of enhancing coordination and integration among the Emirati organisations working in this field.
