Macau's Chief Executive meets General Consul of Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Chief Executive of Macau Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China Mr Fernando Chui met Wednesday Ts.Ganbold, the General Consulate of Mongolia to Hong Kong and Macau. Mr Chui wished Mr Ganbold success and said the government of Macau will make efforts to forward its ties with Mongolia. In response, Mr Ganbold suggested that the Macau Chief Executive helps in some issues arising in the ties between Mongolia and Macau. For example, Mr Ganbold wants that the border checkpoint of Macau does not cause difficulties to the Mongolians although the Mongolian citizens have a right to visit Macau without visa for 90 days in accordance with the mutual agreement. "It has become common that the inspectors hold Mongolians up without any reasons, even count their pocket money and demand extra documents at the checkpoint," Mr Ganbold complained and asked the Macau Chief Executive to change this situation. Mr Ganbold also put forward some proposals such as training Mongolian students and organizing a concert of the Morin Khuur Ensemble. In response, Mr Chui promised to give a response.
