Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov awarded “Friend of Azerbaijan” Golden Order

Baku, May 16, AZERTAC President of the Republic of Macedonia Gjorge Ivanov has been awarded the “Friend of Azerbaijan” Golden Order instituted by the international magazine “My Azerbaijan”. Editor-in-chief of the magazine Emil Nasirli presented the order to the Macedonian President at his residence in Skopje. President Gjorge Ivanov thanked the editorial board and staff of "My Azerbaijan" international magazine for honoring him with the high award. The Macedonian President hailed Azerbaijan`s efforts to strengthen the bilateral relations and cooperation with Macedonia, noting the importance of strengthening and getting the maximum benefit of partnership. Gjorge Ivanov emphasized the rapid development of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas, including energy and pharmaceutical industry. Hailing the political relations between Azerbaijan and Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov underlined the necessity of strengthening the economic ties. Editor-in-chief Emil Nasirli praised the current level of relations between Azerbaijan and Macedonia, noting that the friendly ties between the two countries have deep historical roots. Emil Nasirli pointed out the role of the two countries` officials in developing relations, and underlined the successful development of cooperation between the Azerbaijani and Macedonian public bodies both in bilateral format and within international organizations. Editor-in-chief Emil Nasirli noted that the meetings of the Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku and within various international organizations contribute to the successful continuation of the strategy pursued by the two countries in public and political, and social and economic spheres. Hailing the importance of mutual support in bilateral relations, Emil Nasirli recalled his meeting with Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov during the 6th Global Baku Forum in the Azerbaijani capital this March. He said he saw the Macedonian President’s attention to Azerbaijan and his recognition of the importance of mutual support in bilateral relations. “As an influential statesman, you have taken important steps towards successful development of Macedonia-Azerbaijan cooperation and made great strides in taking necessary steps towards the practical implementation of mutually beneficial projects within the framework of the Azerbaijani-Macedonian relations. We hope that the constructive collaboration will continue in the years ahead and believe that this activity will contribute to the strengthening of relations between the peoples of Macedonia and Azerbaijan. Once again I would like to note that the staff of "My Azerbaijan" international magazine is happy with your recieving the “Friend of Azerbaijan” Golden Order, and highly appreciate the work you have done to strengthen Azerbaijan-Macedonia friendship,” Emil Nasirli said.
