Madagascar Keen To Open Embassy In Indonesia

London, Dec 18 (Antara) - Madagascar is keen to open an embassy in Indonesia to strengthen its diplomatic relations, but the right time to implement the plan is still being discussed, stated Madagascar Foreign Affairs Minister Arisoa Lala Razafitrimo. Rakotondrina Barnabe, an officer from the Indonesian Embassy for Madagascar, informed Antara in London on Thursday that Razafitrimo said the diplomatic relations between Madagascar and Indonesia had been steadily growing in various fields such as scholarships, soybean cultivation, and the oil industry, among several others. Razafitrimo hoped to increase ties between both countries, especially in the area of economic trade. The 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Madagascar was celebrated with several activities, including the donation of agricultural equipment from Indonesia to the Madagascar Government, which was recently held at the Madagascar Ministry of Agriculture`s Office. The Madagascar Bank of Blood Transfusion and Madagascar Red Cross collaborate every four months to organize blood donation drives, and this time, the event will be held at the Indonesian Embassy for Madagascar in Antananarivo.
