Mahmoud Abbas sends message to Vladimir Putin - Palestinian minister

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas has sent a message to Russian leader Vladimir Putin, which particularly concerns recent developments in the Middle East, Palestinian Minister of Civil Affairs Hussein al-Sheikh said in an interview with TASS. "We have held consultations with Russian Special Presidential Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov," he said. "We discussed a number of issues, including Palestinian unity and ways to resolve the Palestine-Israel conflict. Besides, we had the honor of handing a message from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas over to Russian President Vladimir Putin," Hussein al-Sheikh added. "We conveyed warm greetings from President Mahmoud Abbas to President Vladimir Putin," the Palestinian minister continued. The message "particularly concerns the issues that we discussed with Mikhail Bogdanov, including recent developments in the Middle East," he added. According to al-Sheikh, at the meeting with the Russian deputy foreign minister, the recent steps aimed at overcoming Palestinian division were touched upon.
