Majlis Commission Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attacks In Pakistani

Tehran, March 10, IRNA – Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on Saturday strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks against Pakistani Shia Muslims. According to the report of Majlis Media and News Bureau, the commission declared in a statement that Pakistan terrorist incidents and martyrdom of a number of innocent Pakistani Shia Muslims hurt human societies emotions. The statement said that the aim of such plots is to create disunity among Shia and Sunni Muslims and affect important decision of Pakistan government to start operation of building gas pipeline between Iran and Pakistan. The commission asked Pakistan government to prevent repetition of such terrorist acts and severely punish perpetrators. It also asked Pakistan Ulama, by issuing a fatwa (religious decree), to condemn such criminal terrorist acts and not to allow enemiesˈ plots to succeed. It asked Foreign Ministry to use its all diplomatic capacity to prepare necessary ground to prevent similar incidents through international organizations, especially the UN Security Council./end
