Majlis Speaker Felicitates Muslim Nations On Ramadan

Tehran, June 29, IRNA - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani felicitated his counterparts in Muslim countries on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan on Sunday. In separate messages to his counterparts in Islamic states, Larijani hoped victory and God’s blessing for the Islamic community in the fasting month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month on the Islamic calendar. It is the Islamic month of fasting, in which practicing Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, smoking, and indulging in anything that is in excess or ill-natured; from dawn until sunset. Fasting is meant to teach Muslims patience, modesty and spirituality./end
