Major bank debtors are close to Ahmadinejad: Iranian MP

TEHRAN,July 9(MNA) – An MP said that according to some reports the lion’s share of “major bank debtors” are those close to former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. “These people are collecting funds to spend at the next presidential elections to win the votes in favor of Ahmadinejad,” Avaz Heydarpour told the ICANA news agency on Monday. The central bank has recently announced the names of “major debtors” to the Judiciary, Heydarpour said, adding that according to rumors the bulk of these debtors are people close to Ahmadinejad. He urged the Judiciary to pursue the case.
