Malaysian Speaker To Attend 9th OIC Parliamentary Meet In Tehran

Kuala Lumpur, Feb 10, IRNA -- Malaysian Parliament Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia is slated to pay an official visit to Iran to attend the Ninth Meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Parliamentary Union. The 9th Meeting of the OIC Parliamentary Union will be held in three stages in Iran. Tehran will host the OIC parliamentary union meeting on February 18-19. Over 40 countries have voiced their readiness to attend the OIC parliamentary meeting in Tehran. 20 countries will attend the meeting at speaker and 20 others at vice-speaker level. Malaysian parliament has 222 members and the deputies are elected through nationwide elections held every five years./end
