Martyrdom Of Kidnapped Iranian Borderguard Not Yet Proved : Police Chief

Shiraz, Fars prov, March 30, IRNA – There is no document at hand to substantiate that one of the five kidnapped Iranian border guards is killed and the existing documents have not been confirmed, said Iranˈs Police Chief Brigadier Esmael Ahmadi Moqaddam. Speaking to reporters, Ahmadi Moqaddam said the police and Iranian officials have a close watch on the case. He also said that Iran is following other routes in this regard but he declined to elaborate. Ahmadi Moqaddam said the police is filling the vacuums in bordering areas. He also said that the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has come to help the police in eastern borders and that some 250 kilometers of the borders in which roads need to be built have been handed over to the IRGC. A terrorist group, Jeish al-Adl, kidnapped five Iranian border guards into Pakistan on February 6. The group recently claimed it had killed one of the border guards./end
