MAYORS OF ULAANBAATAR AND DENVER MEET

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 12, the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar E.Bat-Uul received the visiting mayor of Denver, the USA, Mr Michael Hancock. This year marks the 14th anniversary of the sisterhood of Ulaanbaatar and Denver. The two cities’ mayors inked the Sister City Agreement in November, 2001, in Denver. UB Mayor E.Bat-Uul thanked the delegation for visiting Ulaanbaatar, and said “we have a lot to learn from Denver”. He expressed belief that the relations between the two cities will further widen into all spheres, and wished the Denver authorities to stress some attention on the living conditions of Mongolians in Denver. Denver’s Mayor Mr Hancock said, noting that the two cities’ sisterhood turns 14 this year, that he is very happy with the cooperation development and that he wants to intensify cooperation with UB in economy, culture and education.
