Meeting held at Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan

Nakhchivan, November 11 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Vasif Talibov met Thursday rector of the Gimcheon University of Korea, Seong-Ae Kang. Talibov said development of education in Nakhchivan was given special attention. He noted significant steps were taken in the Autonomous Republic towards integration of higher education institutions into the world education system. The Chairman also recalled the agreement signed last year between Nakhchivan State University and Gimcheon University. Talibov stressed the importance of fruitful cooperation between the two universities and reciprocal visits in terms of expansion of ties. Seong-Ae Kang said the history, culture and modern city building traditions of Nakhchivan impressed her very much. She praised the development of education in the Autonomous Republic. Seong-Ae Kang also highly appreciated the fact that Korean students were studying in the Nakhchivan State University. She vowed to continue her efforts to contribute to developing cooperation between the universities. As part of the visit, the rector of the Gimcheon University will participate in an opening of the Korea Republic Centre in the Nakhchivan State University.
